The Britannia Hotel, which was recently acquired from Ramada Jarvis, has undergone an ambitious refurbishment involving the conversion of the existing conference hall into 40 new guest bedrooms. Over the course of three months, RDS Decorators painted each new bedroom, using Leyland Trade paints in a neutral palette of magnolia and white, creating a bright and contemporary look.

Leyland Trade Vinyl Matt, which is a great all round paint, ideal for interior walls and ceilings, was used to create a high quality, smooth and fashionable finish. Its durable, wipeable finish makes Leyland’s Vinyl Matt the suitable choice for high traffic environments, such as hotel bedrooms, to ensure they stay looking bright for years to come.

The new Britannia Leeds Hotel, part of a growing chain of over 40 hotels, boasts 146 en-suite guest bedrooms, lounge bar and restaurant. Built around a 19th century windmill, the hotel has the feel of a Yorkshire countryside hotel with all the convenience of a city location.

Richard Dawson of RDS Decorators said: “I’ve always been happy with the performance of Leyland’s products, which provide real value for money and this project was no exception. The Vinyl Matt is easy to apply and creates a smooth bright finish which I’m sure will leave a lasting impression on the hotel’s guests.”
